I'm taking on this exciting adventure to help raise funds for animals around the world. 

I couldn't think of a better way than to grind it out with another 49 999 overly enthusiastic runners along the cobblestone streets of London. I might even wear a kilt for added entertainment.

Friday 8th Jul
Three months to go until the best fun run in the world! I managed to get through the first month of training without too many hiccups despite frosty and sometimes exceptionally wet training conditions!

The training begins!

Sunday 12th Jun
After coming down with a nasty respiratory bug all fitness gains from the marathon in Canberra went out the window. Two months later and I'm slowly on the path to recovery and ready to start training!

I'd initially hoped to 'race' this run, but in all honestly I just want to go and absorb the atmosphere and have fun. It is such a great opportunity and I feel so lucky to be able to have enough health to work towards this goal. 

As always thank you for your very generous support and encouragement. I'm running for you too!

First mara done and dusted!

Thursday 28th Apr
At the start of April I was happy to complete my first marathon! I am still offended by the hills on the canberra course but had a great time getting out and testing my legs. Contracting and recovering from COVID afterwards was nowhere near as fun. 

I'm having a week or two of rest before getting back into training for the headlining event!
