I'm taking part in Step for Pets to help raise funds for Scotland's animals. Throughout Febraury, I will be aiming to walk 10,000 steps a day. You can support me by donating to my challenge to help care for Scotland's animals.

Sunday 28th Feb
The Good News - I've exceeded the 280,000 target and, Thanks to my Supporters, raised some funds for the SSPCA.

On the home straight - day 28 and one last step count to enter once complete.

Thanks to the SSPCA - May's Story

Friday 19th Feb
It's coming up for 4 years since we collected May from  Balerno SSPCA. She had a bad beginning, neglected and left in a field as a foal. Fortunately a passer-by reported her neglect to the SSPCA . 
May suffered with horrific facial injuries. Left unchecked, she had grown and her head collar became embedded into her face.  However after 7 months of treatment and care with the SSPCA, her injuries healed.
Understandably, May was very untrusting and unhappy to be touched, when she came to us.  With lots of TLC, a consistent routine and the company of our older mare, she has come on leaps and bounds (literally . . .lol).
She's cheeky and a bit feisty at times, but gorgeous, adorable and affectionate. She still bares a slight scar, but we don't see it any more.
Without funding the SSPCA wouldn't have been able to treat May and prosecute her abusers. Please Donate.

Getting the Steps Up

Friday 19th Feb
There have been good days and not so good days . . . 
It's definitely harder getting the steps up on work and bad weather days, but overall still on target.
My motley crew of mucky mutts have been helping me with this challenge . . . What would I do without them . .

Many who know me know I'm animal mad.... As is my daughter 😁
Between us we have 5 dogs and 3 horses and of these 2 dogs and 1 horse  are rescues. 
We spend lots of time with our animals, taking care of their needs as well as having fun and spoiling them, but not all animals are so lucky.... So please donate to help the less fortunate, or consider doing more by joining the SSPCA and/or giving an animal a good, safe and loving home

One Week Complete

Sunday 7th Feb
One Week down and a BIG Thanks to all those who have donated to my page! 
I'm doing this as an animal lover and SSPCA supporter. 
It's harder than you think getting 10000 steps done daily, especially at the moment as I'm Shielding and working from home. 
However, I know how much joy my dogs and horses bring me, especially in these restricted times. 
I just worry about about those animals/pets that may unfortunately become homeless due to these hard times or when things become more normal again and people are at home less. 
Thank Goodness for Charities like the SSPCA!! 👍
