What is Go Wild for Wildlife?

Go Wild for Wildlife is a wildlife themed fundraising activity for you and your family. Let your imagination run wild and get creative when deciding on how to fundraise with your own wildlife inspired ideas.

How can I take part while staying within the government guidance on Covid-19?

We all know how important it is to stay safe during this time. You can take part safely by hosting a socially distanced event or a virtual event at a time that suits you. It’s important that you follow the current government guidelines to ensure your event is safe for everyone. You can find the government’s current guidance on social distancing, hygiene and meeting others here.

Is it free to sign up?

Yes, it’s free to sign up

When can I take part in Go Wild for Wildlife?

You decide when to host your event, so sign up, choose a date and invite your friends.

Can I get a fundraising pack?

When you sign up, you’ll instantly get a digital fundraising pack which you can download to help you with your fundraising.

In your fundraising pack, you'll find a step by step guide to help you organise your fundraiser. You'll also find lots of useful resources you can download including invites to send to your friends, bunting to decorate your venue and zoom backgrounds to make your event extra special.

Can I do it as a group with family, friends or colleagues?

Yes, but always do this within the current government guidance on social distancing and meeting others.

Can children take part?

Children can take part with supervision from a parent or guardian. Anyone under the age of 18 won’t be able to sign up themselves, however a parent or guardian can sign up on behalf of their child to take part.

How much do I need to fundraise?

We’re asking you to aim to raise £100 to help care for Scotland’s animals. Be bold and set your goal, the more you raise, the more animals that can be cared for by the Scottish SPCA.

  • £5 could help feed a hedgehog for 5 days
  • £25 could help feed a red squirrel for five days.
  • £50 could help feed a barn owl for ten days.

Every day, the Scottish SPCA responds to over 200 reports of animals in need. By raising vital funds, you’ll be helping ensure animals get the care they need.

How can I raise funds?

You could fundraise in your garden with your family, setup a socially distanced stall from your front door or host a virtual get together with your friends.

Once you decide how to fundraise, set up your fundraising page and then let your friends and family know how they can get involved and support you.

When you sign up, you will receive your digital fundraising pack which is packed full of useful resources  to download and help you with your fundraising.

When can I start fundraising?

You can start fundraising as soon as you sign up. If you raise £100 or more on your fundraising page by Sunday 29 November, you’ll be automatically entered into a draw to win a chance of a behind the scenes tour at our wildlife hospital for two people.

How do my funds reach the charity?

All the money you raise on your fundraising page is transferred automatically to the Scottish SPCA.
